Parade Instructions:

  1. Music Books and/or Music Stands can not be on the float.
  2. Songs will be announced on the float and will not necessarily be in the order listed on this sheet. Be prepared to play any of these songs. Let players around you know what song has been announced.
  3. Continue to play each song announced until you hear a whistle. Once you hear the whistle, play to the end of the song, and stop playing.
  4. Do not play tag ending, or triple endings on any of the songs. Simply stop at the end of the song once the whistle has been blown.
  5. Listen to the bass and the lead banjo player and keep the correct tempo.
  6. If you’re not sure what to play, “air strum” and smile. If you are sure what to play, smile and engage the crowd.
